Business Overview
In line with our country’s strategy of Growth at Home, we consider agricultural production to be essential to achieving national development goals and self-sustainability in the future.
The company has a commercial farm located about 10km from Grootfontein. In line with Vision 2030 and NPD5, this farm is contributing to food security to sustain livelihoods of our people through agricultural activities such as maize production, horticulture and animal husbandry. The main activity at the farm is maize production. However, the farm also does horticulture and animal husbandry on a small scale.
The farm has 13 permanent employees and also makes use of casual workers. The farm has a total of 1,100 hectares. The farm currently cultivates 250 hectares of maize, but would like to increase this to 600 hectares.
